What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary Teacher position at St. Paul Lutheran School?
Responsibilities:
- Share the love of Jesus with students each and every day.
-Create and implement lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards
- Provide instruction to students in various subjects, including math, science, language arts, and social studies
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with autism or special education needs
- Utilize classroom management techniques to create a positive and engaging learning environment
- Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and other evaluations
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement strategies for student success
- Incorporate library services and resources into classroom activities
- Foster a love of reading and writing through literacy activities and assignments
- Provide guidance and support to students in their personal and academic development
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification or license
- Experience working with elementary-aged children, preferably in an educational setting
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to develop and implement engaging lesson plans
- Ability to provide mentorship and support to students
