Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children in our care. You will work closely with infants and toddlers, ensuring their developmental needs are met while fostering a positive and engaging atmosphere.
Duties
- Supervise and engage with children during church services and other church related events
- Implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Provide care for infants and toddlers, including diaper changes, feeding, and comforting.
- Maintain a clean and organized nursery environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Assist in behavior management strategies to support children’s social-emotional development.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a cohesive team approach to childcare.
- Support children with disabilities or special needs by adapting activities as necessary.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in a daycare or educational setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with toddler care, infant care, and behavior management techniques.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with both children and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
