St. Paul's Child Care is currently seeking a fulltime experienced child care worker to join our team. We are a licensed and accredited center wishing to find a candidate that has a desire to learn and care for our active and curious children. Hours are 9:00am-5:30pm Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities and Duties
Responsibilities:
- Develop respectful relationships with the children, families and teammates to ensure a caring and welcoming environment for children.
- Meet the social, emotional, physical and cognitive needs of each child in your classroom. Plan for each child’s development with intentionality.
- Supervise and monitor the safety of children in their care
- Prepare meals and organize mealtimes and snacks for children
- Maintain a clean and safe classroom environment.
- Respect and maintain confidentiality of children, families, and staff.
- Maintain accurate regulatory logs including but not limited to attendance, daily health checks, cleaning logs, and meal counts.
- Attend staff meetings and required training.
- Must be a flexible team player and have the ability to work well with others.
- Plan and implement an ongoing professional development plan with your supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with NYSOCFS regulations, Accreditation Guidelines and Monroe County Health Department Guidelines and regulations.
- Follow all CACFP guidelines.
- Follow through on additional duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills
Qualification include:
- energetic, patient, caring, and flexible personality
- willingness to work with all ages (8weeks-5years)
- 6 months experience working in a child care setting
- ability to communicate with families and fellow team members
- prior knowledge of NYSOCFS regulations
- Hours are 9:00am-5:30pm Mondays through Friday
- All candidates must pass state and agency criminal background checks
- NYSOCFS Physical required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.50 - $15.80 per hour
