Part Time Youth Pastor

Position Summary

The Youth Pastor will help our church family reach, love, and make disciples of our Youth (junior and senior high school age). This position develops and implements a discipleship process that helps young people grow consistently in their relationship with God. This is a part-time position averaging 16 hours / week.

Key Responsibilities

· Plan and implement a weekly Sunday School Youth program

· Plan and implement a weekly Youth program

· Organize and facilitate periodic retreats, concert trips, conferences, fun activities, etc.

· Organize annual mission trips

· Develop and implement strategies aimed at both discipleship and outreach

· Provide direct pastoral care to Youth on an on-call basis as well as planned sessions

· Attend extracurricular activities of Youth

· Coordinate Youth activities with Lead Pastor

Minimum Qualifications Required

• Born again believer with a vital and maturing relationship with Christ.

• Demonstrated faithful pursuit of leadership characteristics as listed in 1 Timothy 3.

• A clear calling to serve God.

• U.S. Citizen with valid driver's license

Agreement with and adherence to the church’s beliefs as described in its Constitution and By-Laws.

• Undergraduate degree in Ministry or related field.

• A thorough knowledge of the Bible

• Two or more years of experience in ministry

• Able to plan, organize and implement ministry programs

• Demonstrated genuine love and solid rapport with Youth

• Sensitive to needs and pressures of teens and young adults

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability and willingness to become a member of the church and attend worship services regularly

Additional Desired Qualifications

• Specialized Youth Ministry training

• Five or more years of experience in leading and teaching youth ministry programs

• Experience in short-term mission work.

St. Paul’s County Line Church is an evangelical, non-denominational rural church with an average attendance of 125. The compensation range for this position is $20,000 - $25,000 per year.
