Extended Care Supervisor

Job Overview
The Extended Care Supervisor plays a vital role in supporting the developmental and emotional needs of children in a nurturing environment. This position involves working closely with the Preschool Director, Staff, and children to ensure that each child receives the appropriate care and guidance necessary for their growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education, along with experience in tutoring or daycare settings.

Duties (include but are not limited to):

• Collaborate with the Director, parents, and teachers to provide extended care services in the afternoons.
• Ensure a safe environment by maintaining first aid certifications and being prepared to respond to emergencies as needed.
• Support the staff as needed in the afternoons and be available to them.
• Maintain accurate records of children's progress and communicate effectively with parents as needed.

Skills

• Strong foundation in Early Childhood Education principles.
• Experience working with children in daycare, tutoring, preschool, or camp settings.
• Ability to educate and engage children effectively through creative methods.
• First aid certification is essential for ensuring child safety.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children are crucial attributes for success in this role.

• Childcare: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• First Aid Certification (Preferred)
• CPR Certification (Preferred)
