Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Nursery Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing a safe and healthy environment for toddlers/children at St. Paul's during Sunday worship. The ability to work with children with special needs is desired. Successful candidates will require a background check and specialized online safe-guarding training from the Episcopal Diocese of Indianapolis.
Duties
- Supervise and engage with children in a nurturing manner to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Ability to provide snacks and changing diapers is required.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and clergy about any concerns..
- Support children in social skills through cooperative play and group activities.
Skills
- Experience in toddler care, daycare settings, or as a nanny is highly desirable.
- Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills to effectively interact with children and parents.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting while also being self-motivated.
- Ability to work with special needs children.
This position is very part-time as it covers nursery/child care during worship on Sunday morning; however, you will be in a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 per week
Schedule:
- Every weekend
