Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate program for preschool and pre-kindergarten students that coordinates, when applicable, with St. Anne’s educational units
- Be responsible for developing and maintaining an organized classroom that offers an effective learning environment
- Provide a warm and loving atmosphere for students
- Keep the safety of our students as a top priority
- Attend and contribute to monthly staff meetings
- Complete a physical education evaluation for each student
- Communicate to Director/Parents regarding any concerns regarding gross motor skills
- Plan and lead students in Mother’s Tea and Father’s Coffee programs and attend (Orientation, etc.) special events sponsored by the school
- Lead “big group” on a rotating schedule
- Assist the Aide before and after physical education classes by preparing and cutting crafts
- Perform any other duties as requested by the Director
- Teacher will work two days a week teaching 2 ½ through 5 years old classes of 6 to 10 students. Regular attendance is expected; 2 days paid leave are allowed each school year. St. Anne’s follows the City of Salem School system in regard to holidays and snow days. The contract will include 5 teacher work days (4 before school begins in August/September and 1 after school ends in May).
