We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Shop Assistant to join our team. This is an entry level position offering an opportunity to learn all about the aerial hydraulic repair business with the potential for growth. If you are dedicated with a desire to learn a trade, we are willing to teach you. This is a full-time contracting (1099) position. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be detail oriented, with a desire to grow and learn a trade in order to progress within the organization.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Operate/transport heavy duty vehicles as needed between customer locations and shop.
- Deliver parts to local repair shops, and pickup parts from local vendors/suppliers as needed.
- Clean shop as needed and perform miscellaneous tasks assigned by management staff.
- Assist service technicians with repairs as needed in shop and in field.
- Ability to utilize basic hand tools.
- Exhibit a positive and professional attitude; ability to take constructive criticism and feedback.
- Effective communication and interaction with management, other team members, vendors, and customers.
- Team oriented; job may include more duties than what is listed
- Must be flexible as prioritizes can change instantaneously.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
