Summary:

As a Maintenance Technician for St. Peter Prince of the Apostles, you’ll provide general maintenance and basic repairs for various St. Peter Prince of the Apostles  locations in a professional manner that assures safety, efficiency, and procedures. This position will be managed by the Business Manager of St. Peter Prince of the Apostles.

Position Responsibilities:

• Inspect all buildings and facilities and initiate repairs.
• Perform maintenance in areas such as plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, and others. For more complex issues, management must be notified.
• Complete work orders and process them.
• Responds to after-hours emergency calls as needed.
• Work cooperatively with staff to schedule and complete repairs.
• Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting and climbing. Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.
• Correct unsafe conditions in work area and promptly report any conditions that are not immediately correctable to supervisor.
• Perform spot checks on equipment to ensure proper working conditions.
• Move furniture and office equipment as requested.
• Assists in maintaining inventory of materials, parts, supplies, tools and equipment.
• Maintain upkeep of any and all parish grounds by use of any means necessary to ensure a healthy and safe environment
• Use of heavy duty machinery ad hoc
• General routine cleaning including but not limited to removing trash, sweeping, mopping, stripping and waxing floors, dusting, etc. 
• General pest control of all properties- use of pesticides or other pest control means (traps, barriers, repellants, etc) 
• Complete special projects as directed by management.
• Follow established procedures for locking, checking, and safeguarding facilities.
• Adhering to safety training and protocols on a daily basis, and taking precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of self, others.
• Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization to include but not limited to client names and information, services rendered to clients, donors names and gifts, internal and external investigations or results of any investigations, and financial information.
• Adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral is mandatory.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Experience
• Reliable transportation
• Valid driver license

• Must have working knowledge of general maintenance tools.
• Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team.
• Must have good written and verbal skills.
• Must have good critical thinking and problem solving skills.
