Primary Job Functions:
The Middle School Classroom Aide will assist teachers in creating an organized, supportive, and engaging learning environment for middle school students. This role requires the ability to work closely with teachers, provide individualized support to students, and contribute to the smooth operation of daily classroom activities. The aide must model positive behavior, support school policies, and demonstrate a genuine interest in the intellectual and social development of young adolescents.
Key Responsibilities
- Instructional Support: Assist with lesson implementation, provide small group/individual support, monitor progress, and support diverse learning needs.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work with staff, attend meetings, and maintain respectful communication with stakeholders.
- Student Support: Assist students with special needs, offer emotional support, and encourage a positive mindset.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma. Prior experience working with students in a classroom setting is preferred, but not required. All candidates must be able to pass FBI and BCI background checks and complete the Diocese of Toledo VIRTUS program.
Salary and Benefits:
This position is a full-time, hourly position with a 10-month contract including options for annual renewals. The hourly wage will be commensurate with experience. Competitive benefits are offered to all full-time employees.
