Position Summary
St. Peter’s School is seeking a passionate and dynamic Foreign Language Instructor to teach one or more world languages to students in grades 7–12. This role may be full- or part-time depending on the candidate’s qualifications and the number of languages they are able to teach. We welcome applicants who can offer instruction in Spanish, French, Latin, or other languages aligned with student interest and curriculum goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engaging, student-centered instruction in one or more world languages.
- Foster cultural awareness and global competence in the classroom.
- Develop and implement curriculum in alignment with the Diocese of Toledo and Ohio Department of Education standards.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
- Assess student performance and provide regular, constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with students, families, and school leadership.
- Participate in faculty meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in a language, education, or related field preferred.
- Valid Ohio teaching license or willingness to obtain certification.
- Ability to teach Spanish, French, Latin, or other foreign language(s).
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Must pass FBI and BCI background checks and complete the Diocese of Toledo’s VIRTUS program.

Salary and Benefits
- Salary Range: $20,000 – $35,000 per year, depending on number of languages taught and schedule (part-time or full-time).
- Schedule: Flexible – part-time or full-time based on instructional capacity and enrollment needs.
