The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) plays a vital role in supporting the Physical Therapist in implementing resident-specific treatment plans. As a key member of the healthcare team, the PTA is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and collaborating with other professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides direct treatment to patients in accordance with established plans of care developed by supervising Physical Therapists
- Monitors signs and symptoms of favorable and unfavorable reactions to treatment and reports any adverse responses immediately to the Physical Therapist
- Maintains accurate and timely records of Physical Therapy treatment programs and documents the need for skilled services in each record entry
- Contributes to effective time management and maintains productivity levels according to daily schedules
- Participates in patient care plan meetings and communicates patient responses to treatment and progress towards established goals with supervising Physical Therapists
Requirements:
