Nursing Unit Secretary Scheduler
Endoscopy
The Nursing Unit Secretary Scheduler will:
- Under the direction and supervision of the Nurse Manager, provide assistance to our customers, the Physicians and their office personnel with their requests and meets their needs.
- Organize the Endoscopy Dept electronic procedural schedule and contacts our patients to inform them of information regarding their procedure.
- Coordinate the clerical functions which support a patient care unit. Is responsible for data entry on assigned shift.
- Maintain organization within Nurse's station to promote an orderly work flow.
Requirements:
- One (1) year scheduler experience preferred.
- Work requires the ability to read and transcribe Physician orders.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and computer skills essential.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with a diverse group of Hospital personnel, patients and visitors.
- Good communication/phone skills required.
