The Food Programs Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of food acquisition to ensure the organization meets its mission of addressing food insecurity. This includes purchasing food, managing budgets and grant reporting, identifying and cultivating food donors, coordinating logistics of food donations and deliveries, ensuring quality of foods received, managing vendor relationships, and collaborating with community partners. The Procurement Manager will build and maintain inventory in the Food Bank, ensuring timely response to any special requests from partner sites. This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Food Bank.

Position Responsibilities
- Ensure Food Bank food collection goals are met and support efforts to increase both the quantity and quality of food collected.
- Procure high-quality, nutritious food to meet program needs.
- Lead efforts to identify, establish relationships with, and procure donations from new food donors.
- Identify and establish relationships with new vendors and suppliers; negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts.
- Responsible for planning, projecting, and forecasting food needs and expanding partnerships to meet those needs.
- Work with programs to enhance understanding of product availability and pricing; maximize savings through coordinated ordering.
- Track purchasing, distribution, and procurement activities in the Inventory Management System.
- Create and analyze reports using Excel, Pivot Tables, and v-lookups; research and analyze data for actionable insights.
- Support programs by creating programmatic food budgets; ensure food programs operate within established budgets.
- Track all expenses and spending against budgets and income sources; assist with grant reporting.
- Provide evaluation and projections of food costs, availability, and program needs.
- Participate in strategy and planning with the Senior Director of the Food Bank to ensure efforts are coordinated, executed, and tracked.
- Inform budget discussions and work with Finance team on creation of annual budgets.
- Manage administration of internal and external food programs supported through purchased products, including procurement, reporting, and relationship management.
- Manage internal product tracking, evaluation, and goal setting for food cost.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of purchasing program to provide food to partners at cost, including sourcing inventory, determining pricing, and ensuring efficient operations.
- Collaborate with partners to understand their needs and procure inventory to align with demand.
- Maintain and enhance relationships with current food donors.
- Build relationships with both internal and external partners to meet the needs of various food programs.
- Maintain good relationships with food bank partners.
- Evaluate the needs of partners and the community, responding appropriately.
- Assist the Senior Director of the Food Bank with site visits to partner agencies, research, and evaluation of new partners to address unserved areas.
- Support programs and partners by actively working to align their needs with resources and solutions.
- Aid in the implementation of engagement strategies to build relationships with new food partners.
- Work with non-food vendors on the purchasing of equipment and supplies.
- Provide oversight to receiving operations, inspecting loads for quality and accuracy.
- Coordinate logistics and delivery of donations and purchases with other departments and external partners.
- Ensure all food and non-food items are handled, stored, and distributed in a safe and sanitary manner in compliance with health and sanitation codes.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Public Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Minimum 3 years’ procurement experience
- Three years’ experience managing budgets in excess of $1M
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Must have access to reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and ability to travel to partner and vendor sites.
