We have IMMEDIATE OPENINGS for part-time housekeepers / janitors. Must have a clean criminal background to qualify for a State of Florida Pari-mutuel License to start work immediately. Reliable transportation a must due to public transit may not be running for the late shift.

HOUSEKEEPER / JANITOR OVERVIEW: Responsible for cleaning all areas assigned and maintaining compliance with the regulations of the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA); works under the direction and policies of the employer.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Thoroughly clean areas by, but not limited too, dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, empty trash and window washing
* Pressure clean chairs and floors

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
* Operate and maintain all equipment / tools
* Flexible to work within any area of Maintenance department
* Perform other duties as assigned by Management

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
* Meet all regulations pertaining to health, safety and personal hygiene in accordance with City, State, and Federal laws
* Comply with Company / Department policies, including attendance
* Must not present a direct threat to health, safety or the welfare of fellow employees or others
* Treat all guests, vendors and employees with courtesy, respect, fairness and consistency
* Professional in appearance, grooming and behavior
* Ability to interpret and complete all communications received and submitted
* Respond in a timely manner to all guests and employees
* Obtain pari-mutuel license as required by the State of Florida

MACHINE / EQUIPMENT / TOOLS USED:
Mop, pail, broom, dust pan, vacuum, scrubber, motorized sweeper, truck, ladders, scaffold, pressure cleaner, scraper and chemicals

SAFETY EQUIPMENT:
Fire extinguisher, rubber gloves, back brace, goggles and gloves

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
* Minimum 18 years old

WORKING CONDITIONS:
* Exposure to outdoor / indoor elements and air conditioning / heat
* Continuous walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, stooping, carrying and wiping
* Frequent pushing, carts, brooms, mops
* Hands exposed to fluids frequently
* Occasional lifting (minimum of 25lbs.)
* Exposure to various cleaning solutions and sanitizers
* Overtime work on "as needed" basis
