Intro to Position
We are looking for a Security Guard for overnight shifts. Ideal candidates are someone with a background in security, law enforcement, or service members.
Ideal candidates are someone that we can trust to help us secure the facility, maintain order, and close and secure various locations on our grounds.
Main duties include but are not limited to
Patrolling the properties, which include an offsite building, marina, and main facility.
Ensuring that locked doors remain locked.
Patrolling the entrances and exits, providing a safe space for our membership.
Scanning the garage to ensure uninvited vehicles or guests aren't entering the property or tampering with vehicles.
Closing and securing our Sailing Center, Marina, and Main Building, which includes a list of procedures to execute to secure the facility correctly.
Shift times are 7pm-2am.
Security is always able to reach the managers by radio during the shift, and by phone after hours. But security is the last person in the building and responsible for securing the premises and primarily working alone or with one other security guard.

Works as a valuable member of a dedicated, professional team. Follow a Closing Checklist every night to ensure safety and security for the entire property. Reports to work as scheduled, in proper uniform, in accordance with the club's personal appearance standards.

- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license
- Knowledge of security
- 2-3yrs. experience
- Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property, inspecting the main club, the sailing center, the marina and the garage.
- Secures points of entry common and uncommon, promoting the safety of the private Yacht Club and its members.
- Make sure all areas are locked, and all machines are turned off at night.
- Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures.
- Monitors traffic by recording observations, information occurrences, bag checks, and camera observations.
- Maintains the environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
- Maintains an organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
- Maintaining the security check points for all facilities, making sure the wand is placed back in the base to retrieve data information.
- Signing in and out flashlight, security keys, and golf cart keys, prior to and after every shift.
- Assuring that all keys left for vehicles parked overnight are secure in the lock box.
- Closing and locking access to the building, then to the garage, dropping keys off in the lock box before departure.
- Following all shutdown procedures as Security is the last to leave the building, ensuring a safe and secure environment for the following day.
- Responding to any reasonable task or assignment given by managers.
- Alerting authorities in times of need or crisis.
