Job Summary and Description
The Department Chair will support the institution's vision for student success and performance excellence by managing and teaching in assigned department(s) at the College. Chairs ensure that the department functions efficiently, effectively, and in accordance with College and District procedures and policies and other accreditation and certification guidelines.
Reports to Dean of Academic Success, Health Sciences.
Department Chairs are classified as Faculty Department Chair or Administrator Department Chair. Faculty Department Chairs are further classified according to the ranks of Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience :
- Level of educational completion as required for faculty status.
- Experience in college teaching, instructional administration and program planning and development with a record of increasingly broad responsibilities.
