Purpose of this position is to assist with the operations of the parish including the financial, human resources and physical plant, allowing other ministries to function effectively. Ensures compliance with accepted accounting principles and practices. The person in this position reports to the Director, Finance and Operations. This position may supervise staff and volunteers.
Duties for the position:
- Assists with financial reporting for the parish, summarizes financial data and prepares monthly financial statements. Attends regularly scheduled meetings and helps with the preparation of the annual budget process for the parish and school.
- Other duties include assisting with the payroll, purchase office supplies and equipment as needed by the parish and school. Assists with various tasks related to financial aid, Choice Scholarships and SGO’s for school families.
- Assist with the management of a variety of auxiliary programs that support parish and school functions; including the parish nursery, the school lunch program and the aftercare and daycare programs, ensuring adequate staffing and safety, along with helping various volunteer groups. Performs related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, management or related field, supplemented by a minimum of three years’ experience in leading teams, accounting and human resources or any equivalent of education, training, and experience.
