What are the responsibilities and job description for the Audit Intern - Summer 2025 position at ST Public Branding?
This is a paid internship, range of $22/hr - $39/hr (depending on role and qualifications) for those currently pursuing undergraduate degrees and higher rates for those currently pursuing graduate level degrees.

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW
Sound Transit’s Audit Division oversees conducts internal performance and compliance audits throughout the Puget Sound region for Link, Sounder, ST Express, and Tacoma Link; and manages capital project safety & security certification audits. The Audit intern has a unique opportunity to be a part of the team that independently reviews how a regional transit system should be managed.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position-specific duties.
List job duties:
- Assist in any compliance audit group audits being performed.
- Compile, review, and analyze audit data.
- Assist in the development of quarterly reporting materials for agency audit committees or oversight meetings.
List potential projects that may be assigned:
- Assist in performance and/or compliance audits taking place in the 2nd – 3rd quarter.
- Aid in the development of the division’s comprehensive audit & finding dashboard.
- Assist in the development of audit communications content for the ST Hub.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must be current college students in good academic standing, enrolled in an accredited associate, bachelor's, or graduate degree program in health & safety, business administration, or Program Management, or a relevant two-year certificate.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
- Have strong communication skills including the ability to write clearly, concisely, and persuasively. Skilled in making effective formal presentations to diverse audiences with different opinions and considerations.
- Basic knowledge of project management and/or planning concepts.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Applicants must be able to plan, organize, and administer daily activities in a sensitive, fast paced, and dynamic environment in a professional manner, and must be able to manage multiple and rapidly changing priorities.
- Applicants must have experience using Microsoft SharePoint or other document management systems or content management systems.
- Additional qualifications that may apply also include Veterans who separated from the military within the last five years.

- Work is performed in a standard office environment.
