Job Description
St. Remi Behavioral Health is looking for a Part Time Front Desk Office Assistant to be responsible for handling clerical tasks in our office. We are a growing mental health practice and we are looking for someone that will grow with us.
This position is part time, requiring evening hours: 2:30pm - 9pm. Please only apply if you're able to work the scheduled hours.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Warmly greet patients and visitors
- Schedule appointments
- Handle incoming calls
- Respond to patient requests for medication refills, questions to Doctors/Nurse Practitioners
- Troubleshoot patient discrepancies
- Managing filing system and electronic EMR
- Patient check in /check out
- Inventory office equipment and supplies as needed
- Creating, maintaining, and updating databases
- Charge Entry Patient Coordination
- Collect co-pays
- Verify patient's insurance
- Process prior authorizations
- Complete medical records requests timely
- Other duties assigned by Office Manager or Medical Director
Qualifications and Skills
REQUIRED
- Bi-lingual, Spanish speaking plus
- Safe and Positive Approaches Experience as an office assistant or in related field.
- Behavioral Health experience
- Medical Terminology a must
- Warm personality with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work well under limited supervision.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between offices if need to
- The position provides all weekends and holidays off.
