St. Roch Rescue Veterinary clinic is a full-service low cost spay and neuter clinic putting Rescue and shelter dogs first.
Our mission is to keep costs affordable to relieve as much financial burden as possible for rescues/shelters to stay open and to provide this same relief for the community keeping pets and unwanted litters out of the shelters.
Our hope is for this clinic to be a beacon of light to those who need it the most while driving down shelter numbers.
Pay and hours are negotiable
Student vets can apply as well we have opportunities available for internships and volunteer work.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team for soft tissue surgeries . We are also seeking a veterinarian interested in vaccine only days and consults . The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of animal health and welfare.
Duties
- Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose any medical conditions.
- Administer vaccinations and medications as needed, ensuring proper dosages and adherence to veterinary protocols.
- Perform surgical procedures utilizing aseptic techniques to minimize infection risks.
- Provide critical care for animals in emergency situations, including monitoring vital signs and administering treatments
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid veterinary license in the state of practice.
- Proficient in veterinary terminology and animal physiology.
- Experience with animal catheterization and critical care .
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and diagnostics
