Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The Post-Partum Registered Nurse provides care for post-partum patients and their newborns under the direction of the Maternal Child Director. Additionally the post-partum nurse may attend deliveries and C-sections; and care for ante partum and post-gynecological patients.
- The registered nurse employs critical thinking to integrate objective data with knowledge gained from an assessment of the subjective experiences of patients.
- Registered nurses use this critical thinking process to apply the best available evidence and research data to the processes of diagnosis and treatment.
- Nurses continually evaluate quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and seek to optimize outcomes.
- Medical/clinical knowledge technical and clinical skills clinical judgment interpersonal skills and communication as indicated in the current Comprehensive Accreditation Manual for Hospitals are essential components of nursing practice.
- This position is represented by CNA and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
Qualifications
Minimum
- One (1) year experience as an RN in an acute care setting or successful completion of applicable clinical and didactic SRDH specialty training course(s) or program.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- RN - Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada.
- CT CPRBLS - Basic Life Support – AHA
- CT NRP = Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 6 months of hire.
- Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
Preferred
- Two (2) years’ experience as an RN in an acute care setting.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Certification in Specialty Area.
Pay Range
$67.33 - $69.58 /hour
Salary : $67 - $70
