We are seeking applications for an enthusiastic Music, Dance or Performing Arts Specialist Teacher for a full-time (1.0 FTE) contract teaching position, for Term 2 of the 2025 academic year. This role involves teaching Pre-Primary to Year 6 students in the Primary School at South Coast Baptist College, located in the southern suburb of Waikiki, Western Australia.
Responsibilities :
Teach music curriculum or alternately a Specialist Dance / Performing Arts program to Primary School students from Pre-Primary to Year 6.A knowledge of The Kodály approach to teaching Music would be an advantage.Professional Development :
Attend weekly staff and professional learning team meetings.Demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning as part of the teaching profession, evidenced by development of programs and teaching methods.Program Development :
Implement and develop the music (or alternate specialist program as noted) across Term 2 of the 2025 academic year.Position Requirements - Education & Experience :
A minimum of a Primary Teaching Diploma and bachelor’s degree in education.Knowledge of music (or other listed specialization – dance, performing arts) is required for this role.Current registration with the Teachers Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA).A current Working with Children Card and relevant police clearance.Selection Criteria :
