JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Hours: 10:00 pm - 6:30 am
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for performing duties in accordance with established organizational policies and procedures for providing a safe environment, achieved by demonstrating the principles of cleaning, disinfection, and quality assurance toward the reduction of harmful pathogens for the benefit of patients, visitors, and staff. While executing the assigned tasks, the trash/soiled linen technician will have indirect contact with patients and family and be able to professional acknowledge them and maintain a safe distance for passage. Possesses technical skills collects, transports, and properly disposes of trash and bio-hazardous materials following established safety protocols. Responsible for responding favorably to requests to adjust daily workflow or area assignments to meet facility needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Practices critical thinking skills to include prioritization.
- Demonstrates personal accountability.
- Identify and utilize appropriate resources to ensure identified problems or concerns are followed through and resolved.
- Recognizes the importance of how their communication is received by patients, visitors and other health care workers, staff, etc.
- Recognizes their role as part of the larger organization and models the mission statement through interaction with patients, family, visitors, and other facility staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Previous floor care maintenance experience preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 50 pounds is required.
Physical Effort required:
Constant (67%-100%) – handling/feeling, talking, hearing, seeing
Frequently (34%-66%) - stooping, crouching
Occasionally (1%-33%) - lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, climbing (stairs, ladders, etc.), balancing, crawling, reaching
