JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
JOB SUMMARY:
The LPN/Medical Assistant performs employee health nursing duties such as new hire assessments, administering vaccines, blood pressures, vital signs, drug screens, blood draws, and other duties, as needed. Documents employee health visit, blood and body fluid protocol, and data/report management. May assist with various clerical onboarding responsibilities to support onboarding operations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
The LPN/Medical Assistant performs employee health nursing duties such as new hire assessments, administering vaccines, blood pressures, vital signs, drug screens, blood draws, and other duties, as needed. Documents employee health visit, blood and body fluid protocol, and data/report management. May assist with various clerical onboarding responsibilities to support onboarding operations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma. Current BLS certifications through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off.
Strong communication skills, including verbal and written. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. Highly organized and able to work effectively with deadline-conscious tasks.
LPN: Graduate of accredited LPN program and current Licensed Practical Nursing license required.
Medical Assistant: Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant Program and current Medical Assistant Certification required.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of employment laws preferred. Previous experience with HRIS systems or Workday preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 20 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
Physical Effort required:
Constant (67%-100%) - talking, hearing, seeing
Frequently (34%-66%) - reaching
Occasionally (1%-33%) - lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, balancing, stooping, crouching, handling/feeling
