JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Shift: 7:30a-7:00p; 7 on/7 off
JOB SUMMARY:
Supervises all technical activities in the specialty section of the clinical laboratory. Performs a wide variety of moderate and high complexity clinical laboratory procedures. Exercises independent judgment and responsibility with minimal supervision. Complies with organization’s C.A.R.E.S. standards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Science degree required. Minimum of 4 years full-time experience. Current or Temporary Louisiana license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist-Generalist (CLS-G) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist-Specialist (CLS-S). National Board Certification, ASCP preferred, as a Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist or ASCP categorical certification in specialty area. SBB preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
