JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

JOB SUMMARY :
Responsible for managing and supporting the Radiology Information System (RIS) and the Picture Archives and Communication System (PACS). This job is the key liaison for the operation of the system. This job is responsible for the RIS / PACS systems as it pertains to the system's daily operations, output, documentation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and functional testing of the system and its enhancements. Coordinates activities within the department and other departments of the hospital. Hybrid working environment.
SHIFT : Monday - Friday 8 AM - 4 : 30 PM | Hybrid | On-call
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Experience in radiology workflows or a B.S. degree in science, computer science, or a related degree or ten year's experience with PACS systems. Experience in systems project management and implementation is desirable. Must possess and demonstrate excellent communication skills, initiative, tact, diplomacy, and dependability to manage all the job duties. Must have the necessary discretion to deal with confidential information. Must be able to establish and maintain rapport with all levels of hospital employees and external contacts to discuss system enhancements or resolve problems concerning databases, procedures, or computer operations. Make decisions and organize system procedures for the most effective and economical use of computer and peripheral equipment. Must participate in an "On Call" duty rotation. Perform other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 50 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
