JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Scheduled Weekly Hours : 40
Work Shift : ( M-F) 8am - 4 : 30pm
Summary :
Responsible for promptly responding to patients and / or guarantors regarding medical billing questions and concerns. Communicates with patient and / or guarantor throughout the research until resolution.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Must be a high school graduate or equivalent
- Must have 2 or more years Customer Service experience, preferably in a healthcare related Business Office
- Preferred knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care programs; including billing and authorization requirements
- Preferred knowledge of payor payment methodologies and have an understanding of how patient liability amounts are determined
- Excellent communication skills required
- Understanding of Fair Debt and Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) strongly preferred
Physical Demands :
Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 20 pounds is required.

Frequently (34%-66%) - NONE
Occasionally (1%-33%) - lifting, carrying, pushing / pulling, climbing (stairs, ladders, poles, etc.), balancing, stooping, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling / feeling
