JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Summary of the Job :
Responsible for assessing patient / family spiritual needs in all areas of care. Communicates and work collaboratively with Interdisciplinary Team regarding patient / family interventions, psychosocial needs, and goals. Attends patient funerals when requested and assists with community service projects. Responsible for assessing patient / family spiritual needs in all areas of care. Minimum Qualifications :
The applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree in a Social Science from an accredited university or college.
Preferred Qualifications :
Preferably the applicant will have a Master of Divinity Degree from an ATS accredited theological school with endorsement or ordination from a recognized faith group. One year experience in working with patients and families dealing with illness and death and trauma situations. Experience and participation with Bereavement or other support groups. Experience with public community events and chapel services preferred. 4 (four) units of CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education) preferred with 2 (two) of which must have been in a hospital setting.
Physical Demands :
Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 10 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
