Scheduled Weekly Hours : 40
Work Shift : (Mon-Fri) 6AM-2 : 30PM
Summary of the Job :
Oversees the operations of Receiving on a daily basis. Receives, ships out, and delivers all supplies and equipment from all carriers.
Physically checks and verifies contents of incoming supplies and equipment to ensure contents are accurate and match purchase orders and packing slips.
Responsible accurate entry into Lawson System Receiving functions. Responsible for training and direction of receiving employees.
Informs and instructs Receiving employees on daily work flow to bring maximum efficiencies. Ensures that proper receiving procedures are followed by Receiving Clerks : obtaining signatures to verify the items have been received by the requesting department;
delivering of overnight, tissue, and refrigerated items immediately upon arrival, and quality control procedures. Oversees cleanliness and safety of loading dock.
Minimum Qualifications :
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Must possess the ability to communicate effectively with customers. Previous warehouse experience is preferred.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and experience operating a pallet jack and other materials equipment. Must have some computer skills to be able to perform Receiving functions in the Lawson System.
Must be customer focused and committed to service excellence. Must demonstrate quality control techniques by making sure packages are not accepted with visual damage.
Must be able to recognize and report / remove potentially unsafe working hazards.
Physical Demands :
Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time.
Lifting up to 50 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
Physical Effort required :
Constant (67%-100%) lifting, carrying, pushing / pulling, reaching, handling / feeling, talking, hearing, seeing
Frequently (34%-66%) balancing, stooping
Occasionally (1%-33%) climbing (stairs, ladders, poles, etc.), crouching
