Job Description
We are an engaging and flourishing parish of approximately 1,400 families in Summit, New Jersey. The Director of Music and Liturgical Ministries responsibilities are:Plan liturgies, supervise music staff, recruit train, and direct paid and volunteer cantors;
Recruit, direct, supervise, train and organize the parish choir;
Coordinate/plan all weekend liturgies including Lectors, EMs, and Sacristans;
Play organ/piano at Masses, holidays and Holy Days of Obligation;
Coordinate music and play at Penance Services and all First Communion and Confirmation Masses and/or ceremonies;
Coordinate the Wedding process with all couples, scheduling meetings, planning and documentation.
Salary commensurate with experience.
