Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. This role is crucial in fostering the development of children in our preschool and daycare settings, ensuring that each child receives the attention and guidance they need to thrive.
Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and curriculum activities tailored to the developmental needs of children.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a positive and orderly environment conducive to learning.
- Engage with children during playtime, meals, and other activities to promote social skills and emotional development.
- Help supervise children during outdoor play, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Collaborate with teachers to assess children's progress and participate in parent-teacher conferences as needed.
- Provide care for toddlers, including diaper changes, feeding, and comforting as necessary.
- Foster an inclusive environment by working effectively with children with autism or other disabilities, adapting activities as required.
Experience
- Previous experience in early childhood education or childcare settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with preschool curriculum development and classroom management techniques is advantageous.
- Experience working with diverse groups of children, including those with special needs or disabilities.
- A background in daycare or toddler care is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are essential.
