- One year healthcare experience (pre-hospital, ED and/or patient care) preferred
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Basic computer skills
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Current Colorado Emergency Medical Technician-Basic or A-EMT or EMT-Intermediate or Paramedic license required
- IV certification required upon hire
Schedule: Full Time (nights)
The Emergency Department at St. Thomas More consists of 13 ED beds, three behavioral Health rooms and four fast tracks. The Emergency Department handles acute and subacute issues. We are a Level IV trauma center staffed with TNCC certified nurses. We’re located in a tourist area with many outdoor activities, so trauma is a big part of our care and we have a broad case mix. We see everything from major traumas (approximately 300 per year) to STEMIs, and strokes. We also have a certified Forensic Nurse Examination program. We are proficient in EMTALA laws with our stabilization and transfer experience of acutely emergent patients, supported through our affiliation and partnership with Flight for Life and other EMS Services.
