What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian position at St. Timothy Catholic Church?
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Responsible for keeping the parish grounds, church, youth center, preschool (occasionally) and parish center clean, stocked and orderly.
· Should be able to follow a checklist to make sure that items are satisfactorily completed on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
· Minor repairs and facilities setup are also required based on parish calendar and with the ability to follow a facility usage form to anticipate needs of the group meeting.
· Must be able to work well with others including co-workers and guests to the Church.
· Must have knowledge of cleaning products and best cleaning practices.
· Must be a self-starter, able to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
· Perform other duties as assigned
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements, Skills & Abilities:
· Must have good communications skills.
· Perform duties in an efficient, professional and courteous manner.
· Technological ability to set up microphone, laptop, TVs and projectors
· Must be able to work a scheduled shift, including weekends & holidays
· Able to follow instructions with speed and efficiency.
· Candidate must successfully pass a Level II FBI Background Screening and complete Safe Environment Training before employment.
· Practicing Catholic Applicants Preferred.
Physical Requirements:
· Be in good physical condition and able to do moderate lifting (20-50 lbs.), climbing and pushing.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 per week

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Every weekend
- Morning shift
