Food Pantry Associate
St. Vincent de Paul – Cincinnati (SVDP) has served residents of greater Cincinnati for over 150 years with basic needs such as food, medicine, and homelessness prevention through its outreach center in the West End and through fifty-six parish-based volunteer Conferences (chapters). Scope of Position:
This position is responsible for supporting our Council’s food assistance as well as providing logistical support to the Outreach Center Program team. This position will contribute to the daily operations of the Neyer Outreach Center’s (NOC) processing center and food pantry. The role is full-time Tuesday-Saturday with Sundays and Mondays off. The typical schedule will be 8am-5pm (with a half hour lunch) Tuesday-Friday and 8am-2pm on Saturdays. This team member must consistently model the mission and values of St. Vincent de Paul.

- Provide support during set up and close down of pantry operations
- Shop with neighbors in the Catino Choice pantry
- Process food donations
- Work with volunteers in pantry tasks
- Assist in collecting, recording, and reporting pantry data.
- Keep Pantry clean and organized
- Stock Shelves in Pantry
Other:
- Participate in staff meetings and trainings as schedule allows
- Other tasks and duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or its equivalent required
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility and a willingness to help where needed
- Ability to problem solve
- Planning and organizational skills
- Basic computer skills, including the use of Microsoft office products
- Desire to serve our neighbors and carry out the mission of SVDP
- Ability to pass a background check
- At least 18 years of age
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to speak, hear, and engage in effective interaction, both in person and over the phone
