What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Bookkeeper position at St. Vincent de Paul of Juneau?
The assistant bookkeeper will be a part-time position to assist our Financial Technician, including recording and tracking financial transactions, and ensuring that the company's financial records are accurate and properly filed.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Recording daily transactions, such as purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. They record this data in general ledgers, which are used to create financial statements.
- Maintaining financial records, including cash flow statements, reconciliation statements, and profit and loss statements. They also ensure that the records are accurate and report any discrepancies.
- Managing accounts payable and receivable, and process payroll. They also produce and pay invoices for credit card bills and inventory orders.
- Working closely with Accounting Technician and office staff.
- Using bookkeeping software, spreadsheets, and other databases to track financial transactions.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
