Position Summary
We are seeking a faith-filled, enthusiastic, and innovative Kindergarten teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is a practicing Catholic with a passion for early childhood education and a strong desire to build foundational academic and spiritual experiences for our youngest learners. This role requires a nurturing presence, strong classroom management, and a heart for forming young children in the image of Christ.
Key Responsibilities
Faith Formation & Catholic Identity
- Integrate Catholic teachings, prayer, and liturgical life into daily instruction.
- Model and instill Gospel values and a love for Christ in students.
- Partner with families to support the domestic church and reinforce Catholic faith development.
Instruction & Academics
- Create and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with diocesan curriculum standards and Arkansas state learning standards.
- Use multisensory methods including Orton-Gillingham phonics, hands-on math, and literature-rich instruction.
- Promote inquiry, curiosity, and creativity through structured play, centers, and project-based learning.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including those needing enrichment and support.
- Implement MAP Growth assessment data to drive instruction and monitor student growth.
Classroom Culture & Environment
- Foster a welcoming, joyful, and orderly classroom that reflects high expectations and loving guidance.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues rooted in trust and respect.
- Collaborate with PreK and 1st grade teachers to ensure strong transitions and program alignment.
Professional Growth & Leadership
- Actively participate in school-wide professional development, including training in the Depth & Complexity Framework, Catholic identity formation, and early childhood best practices.
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives such as family engagement, Catholic Virtues curriculum, and service-learning projects.
- Maintain regular communication with families regarding academic progress and spiritual development.
Qualifications
Required
- Practicing Catholic with strong knowledge of the Catholic faith and ability to model it joyfully
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or ability to obtain Arkansas licensure
- Passion for Catholic education and early childhood development
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred
- Experience with Orton-Gillingham or multisensory literacy programs
- Familiarity with MAP Growth data and data-informed instruction
- Background in project-based learning, classroom centers, or Responsive Classroom approach
- Desire to grow as a faith and instructional leader within a collaborative faculty culture

Pay: $52,500.00 - $81,000.00 per year
