The Property Manager works to maintain the housing qualifications of all tenants in the building. This includes but is not limited to:
- Rent Tracking and Collections
- Posting Rent Notices
- Posting/Executing warnings for lease violations
- Attending all lease signings
- Completing apartment inspections
- Processing Evictions
- Attending eviction hearings
- Enforcing the conditions of the lease and keeping tenants updated of any changes
- Maintain all maintenance requests and ensure they are completed
The program development & case management portion of this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Assist with planning and maintaining of Health and Wellness program, After-School/Tutoring program, and other such Kettering Commons programming to assist in the community involvement and skill-building of tenants.
- Assist with case management tasks as needed within the Kettering Commons program. This includes but is not limited to rides to scheduled appointments, assistance with crisis situations as needed under supervision of program manager, assistance with miscellaneous case management tasks while not maintaining a client caseload.
- Maintain case management and homeless system trainings per CARF and OHMAS accreditation guidelines.
- 1-3 years’ experience working with homeless or very low income, mentally ill, and/or addicted populations
- Experience with and working knowledge of substance abuse, mental health diagnoses, and domestic violence related community resources required
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of landlord laws and processes
- Demonstrated, successful, experience working with diverse populations required
- Experience in de-escalation of conflict/crisis situations is preferred
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds for short distances
- Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to ascend/descend stairs frequently
- Must have dependable means of transportation
- Must be able to pass drug screen and background check
