Full-Time Donation Transport Driver

Job Overview
St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store is looking for a donation pick-up and delivery driver for our Evansville, IN store. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, pass a drug test and background check.

St. Vincent de Paul Drivers are an invaluable part of the mission to help our neighbors. Drivers are the ones that deliver furniture to our neighbors and pick-up donations from drop boxes around town and furniture from private donators. They are the most widely recognized member of our crew in the city and surrounding towns. We are looking for a full time driver (5 days a week) so if you like helping people, are a self -regulating worker that can move up to 100 pounds with furniture moving equipment and have a good driving record, we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Report to work on time in proper uniform with any safety
• Conduct morning schedule review with manager(s)/office
• Complete pre-trip on truck for safety and DOT regulations
• Contact neighbors on the day’s pick-up/deliveries list to give approximant time of arrival
• Complete each pick-up /delivery in a safe, efficient and professional manner
• Unload and secure truck and prepare for the next day
• Conduct end-of-day review with manager(s)/office
• Other daily assignments may be given if needed by management team

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or a similar role
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual tasks
• Strong customer service skills to interact positively with neighbors
• Experience with operating box trucks
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and moving procedures

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
