Summary
The Security Officer II shall perform access control functions and patrols throughout all Father Joe Villages facilities. Qualified personnel will possess characteristics and traits, such as self-control, patience, self-discipline, maturity, attention to detail, and a neat and professional appearance. The individual must be of unquestionable integrity, display a mature, responsible attitude and exercise good judgment. He/she shall actively support and uphold the agency's stated mission, vision and values.
Essential Functions
• Provides guidance and supervision to security staff assigned to their shift to include training/development, career growth, etc.
• Investigate and prepare incident reports, review reports completed by shift personnel and communicate and discrepancies with proper follow-up resolution
• Reviews utilization, maintenance of security equipment and performs posts inspections to ensure compliance with department and organization policies and procedures
• Prepares daily and periodic reports to department leadership regarding shift activity.
• On time completion of assigned training and policies
• Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED
• CA Guard Card certification
• Intermediate user of MS office
• Be at least 21 years of age with a minimum of 3 years of driving experience; possesses a valid California driver's license; and has no Class 1 or more than two Class 2 violations within the past 36 months
• Candidate must have a minimum of two (2) year security officer experience
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Able to work with flexible schedule to meet business needs
