What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cashier Clerk position at St Vincent de Paul?
St. Vincent DePaul Thrift Stores is a large and diverse non-profit charitable organization. We represent the best managed and operated thrift stores in the northwest. This year the proceeds from our stores will ultimately help to assist over 90,000 people in need in Snohomish, Island, Skagit and Whatcom Counties. We are currently hiring for our Everett store- must be able and willing to work any day.
Position Requirements:
- Cheerfully greet and assist customers.
- Energetically promote & increase sales.
- Ring up sales through POS (point of sale) register system.
- Inventory stocking.
- Building professional relationships with both customers & staff.
- Maintain excellent attendance, punctuality, and flexibility.
- Assist in the production area by unloading donations from vehicles, sorting hard goods and clothing donations, pricing donations, and assisting with customers carry outs of mattresses, furniture, etc.
- The person most qualified for this position will have strong organizational skills, the ability to move at a fast pace and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. Cashier experience and knowledge of the value of used goods a plus.
