Job Title : Stewardship Officer
Department : Development
Reports To : Manager, Legacy & Gift Planning
FLSA Status : Exempt
Job Summary :
The Stewardship Officer is primarily responsible for implementing and recording donor stewardship efforts to build a deeper relationship with donors with the goal of increasing donor retention and the possibility of elevating donors to the major giving level.
Specific Duties :
- Call donors to thank them for their gift and engage in conversation to build a strong relationship between the donor and SVdP
- Communicate regularly via phone, email, visits, tours, etc. with existing Mid / Major donors to develop relationships and build a stewardship portfolio for donor management and potential major gift opportunities
- Implement efforts to reinstate lapsed donors
- Perform any other duties assigned by Manager, Legacy & Gift Planning
