What are the responsibilities and job description for the Polysomnographic Technologist (Sleep Tech) Night position at St. Vincent Home Medical Services?
Summary of Position: The Polysomnographic Technician will perform comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis, and associated interventions under the general supervision of a Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) and/or the Clinical Director or designee.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; BCLS (current)
Experience: Previous Sleep Experience Perferred
Skills: Good interpersonal skills; Good communication skills, both written and spoken; Good judgment; Attention to detail and good-record-keeping; ability to follow directions
Requirements: Must maintain current CPR or BCLS certification; RPSGT perferred
Physical: Frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and talk or hear. Occasionally required to walk; sit; stop; kneel; crouch or crawl. Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
