Job Overview:
St. Vrain Valley Schools is seeking a dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst. The BCBA supports student plans and needs throughout the district. In addition, the BCBA will consult and provide guidance to classroom teachers when serving students who need additional behavioral support in any classroom setting.
Responsibilities:
- Use program evaluation tools (such as CDE quality indicators) in collaboration with the school-based multidisciplinary teams and district special education leadership to create a quality learning environment.
- Observe and provide feedback related to district mission/vision and specific goals for programs.
- Provide professional development for certified and classified staff in the areas of data collection, behavior analysis, and implementation of behavioral services.
- Disseminate information to staff, students, and parents regarding student needs, progress, and resources.
- Supervision of RBTs and potential BCBA candidates within a classroom environment
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Related Work Experience:
- An active Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and in good standing with the BACB
- 3 years’ experience in working with public schools
Licenses / Certifications / Registrations
- An active Colorado Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and in good standing with the BACB
- US Citizenship and Immigration Services Employment Eligibility Verification (Form I-9)
- Criminal background check required for hire.
Technical Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
- Understanding of disability areas under IDEA
- Experience working with children with developmental disabilities
- Proficiency in behavioral therapy techniques
- Strong skills in data collection and analysis
- Knowledge of medical records management
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
