Summary
The Math Teacher delivers instruction in mathematics to foster students’ understanding of mathematical concepts. This role involves developing lesson plans, assessing student progress, and creating a classroom environment that promotes critical thinking and problem solving.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the assigned course curriculum.
- Incorporate a variety of teaching methods and resources to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Assess and evaluate students’ understanding through classroom discussions, assignments, and tests.
- Maintain a positive, respectful classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Participate in school-wide events, including religious services and academic-related activities.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience in secondary education.
- Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and curriculum.
- Ability to engage and motivate students of all skill levels.
- Proficient in email communication, word processing, and presentation software, including tools within Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
