Main Job Responsibilities / Competencies
This position provides on-site and clinical application support to customers within the assigned territory, with the goal of increasing surgeon and clinic confidence and adoption of STAAR products.
- Conducts on-site and remote training & product presentation for OD’s/ MD’s and clinical staff.
- Trains / speaks at educational days at defined clinics.
- Disseminates key clinical marketing messages (STAAR news & highlights, latest articles, new products and developments) and educates on usage of this material to improve adoption of ICL and drive volume.
- Participates in the identification of potential sites and customers.
- Follow up of customer complaints with our Clinical Department in order to enhance the current time frames and accuracy in reporting claims.
- Conducts & performs customer site visits as required, including site visit report writing and frequent field team communication.
- Facilitates the introduction of new products and innovations to customers.
- Independently monitors the progress of assigned sites by maintaining close contact with surgeons, optometrists and site personnel.
- Comprehensive organization and execution of local educational events (including organizing dedicated ICL events, User Meetings, Symposia, etc.) as well as managing STAAR participation in Customer-organized events.
- Works closely with Territory Manager(s) in the coordination of business activities to meet the annual objectives within the territory.
- Attends regional and national medical conferences as assigned.
- Travels within the territory over 50%.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & TRAINING
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.
- Optometrist background strongly preferred.
- 5 or more years of experience in clinical practice.
- Similar position in the past 5 years.
- Background and experience in surgical and clinic setting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to adapt to different individuals at all levels, results driven, organized, professional manner.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

Salary : $105,000 - $155,000
