Product Development Role
We are looking for an experienced Product Development Engineer to join our R&D team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and transferring new ophthalmic devices from concept to manufacturing.
As a key member of our team, you will provide input to product conceptualization and design, conduct feasibility testing, and document your work in laboratory notebooks and Technical Reports.
You will also develop product specifications, manufacturing methods, and procedures, conduct test protocols, verification and validation activities, and equipment qualifications. Additionally, you will prepare test protocols and reports, verification and validation reports, and equipment qualification protocols.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have a B.S. in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering and relevant industrial experience. Experience with medical device sector, preferably in ophthalmology, is required.
Knowledge of Design Control procedures and Quality systems is also preferred. Demonstrated experience developing and transferring new products is highly desirable.
Technical Skills
You should possess a strong background in engineering techniques and methodologies. Good analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary for this role.
Knowledge of and ability to follow Design Control requirements is critical. Knowledge of validation and verification techniques is also required.
A working knowledge of Solidworks is preferred.
This person should be a self-starter who works well with others and has good communication and organizational skills.
