Ultrasound Technologist Job Description
Stability Direct is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist for a job in New York. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and special procedure imaging, diagnostic, and medical sonograms
- Prepare patients for procedures, assist radiologists when needed, and maintain equipment
- Develop and process films, adhere to established radiology standards of care, and obtain continuing education
- Assume responsibility for assigned areas and duties, provide patient care, and exercise professional judgment
Requirements:
- Completion of a certified ultrasound program or Limited Permit/certificate
- ARDMS eligibility after 1 year from graduation and 1000 clinical hours for students
- ARDMS required for ACR accreditation compliance after January 1, 2019 or ARRT (s) or RT (VS)
- Experience preferred, with BLS certification through the American Heart Association
