BASIC SCOPE/PURPOSE
Summary: Staci Americas is a dynamic and rapidly growing 3PL and E-commerce company, providing a wide range of logistics solutions to clients worldwide. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced International Freight Specialist to lead and manage our international shipping operations.
In this role, you will oversee global freight movements, develop and maintain relationships with international carriers, and ensure the efficient, compliant, and cost-effective transportation of goods for our clients.
Operating within a fast-paced third-party logistics (3PL) environment, you will be instrumental in coordinating international shipments, managing customs documentation, and delivering exceptional service across global supply chains.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Coordinate international shipments (air, ocean, and ground) for clients across various industries
- Act as the liaison between clients, carriers, customs brokers, and internal Staci Americas teams
- Secure competitive freight rates by negotiating with international carriers and service providers
- Coordinate and follow up on all required White Glove, LTL, or FTL shipments as part of daily responsibilities
- Ensure all international shipping activities comply with customs regulations and trade compliance laws
- Prepare and process documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading
- Track, monitor, and communicate status of international shipments to stakeholders
- Proactively resolve delays, exceptions, and compliance issues
- Support client-specific SOPs and ensure high service standards are maintained
- Maintain accurate data and update TMS (Transportation Management Systems) and internal systems
- Stay up to date on changes in global shipping trends, duties, and tariffs
- Collaborate closely with warehouse operations, client service teams, and finance to ensure smooth end-to-end logistics execution
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 2–4 years of experience in international freight brokerage or freight forwarding (preferably within a 3PL environment)
- Deep understanding of global shipping regulations, Incoterms, and customs clearance processes
- Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle high volumes of shipments and multitask effectively
- Proficiency in transportation/logistics software and Microsoft Office
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and follow-up skills
- Knowledge of HTS codes, import/export requirements, and international trade documentation
- Freight Broker License is a plus
- Project Management Experience
Work Environment:
100% Remote
This is a remote position with occasional travel as needed. Candidates must have reliable internet access and be able to work across time zones to support international logistics operations.
