About The Role
The Hardware Engineering team is responsible for the engineering, manufacturing and testing of the entire autonomous vehicle from components to vehicles. This includes the base vehicle platform as well as the individual modules comprising Stack’s Automated Driving System.
As an integral member of the hardware engineering team, you will be responsible for the Integration Assembly Test and Checkout (IAT&C) of Stack’s ADS. In addition to executing the checkout tasks, the Test Engineer will also be responsible to propose process improvements that enhance coverage and automation of tests. Additionally, the test engineer position will support other testing activities happening either at the component level or at the system level.
This position is located in New Stanton, PA.

Responsibilities
- Partner across engineering and IT orgs to establish manufacturing test capability
- Triage and perform hands-on troubleshooting of issues detected during manufacturing and testing
- Partner closely with internal engineering teams and external manufacturing teams
- Bring-up, configure, update and test hardware modules using supplier-provided and internal tools
- Automate and execute tests using linux terminal, Python and shell scripting
- Develop and maintain test fixtures, work instructions and related documentation
- Bachelor Degree in computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, robotics or similar fields
- No specific YoE requirement
- Experience with hardware debugging at the system level including common test equipment such as DMMs
- Experience with testing and debugging of automotive and robotics buses (CAN, Ethernet)
- Experience with linux shell scripting, python
- Experience working in manufacturing environments is a plus
- Clear communication and ability to coordinate with hardware and software engineers for failure analysis
